FNBO Getaway Credit Card Review 2023
The FNBO Getaway Credit Card, also known as the Evergreen Card, is a compelling no-annual fee rewards card. During my evaluation, I discovered that it offers an attractive rewards program, although it lacks a new cardholder bonus, which may disappoint some potential applicants.
With this card, you earn three points per dollar on a wide range of travel purchases, including flights, hotels, car rentals, and transit expenses. Gas purchases at service stations and automated fuel dispensers also earn three points per dollar. Dining transactions are also eligible for three points per dollar, while all other purchases earn one point per dollar.
The absence of an annual fee and foreign transaction fees makes this card even more appealing, especially for those who frequently make purchases outside the United States. However, I must note that you need to accumulate at least 2,500 points (equivalent to $25 in cash back) before you can redeem them for cash-back rewards.
For the first 12 months, the card offers a 0% introductory APR on both purchases and balance transfers. Although this is advantageous, keep in mind that balance transfers are subject to a 5% fee. After the introductory period, the card's interest rate will be between 16.24% and 24.24%, depending on your credit history.
The FNBO Getaway Card is categorized as a World Mastercard, but it doesn't come with an extensive list of additional benefits. Some other cards on the market may offer more travel and purchase protections.
Regarding eligibility, FNBO doesn't have a well-known credit score requirement for this card. If you have a credit score above 700, your chances of approval are likely good. Those with credit scores between 650 and 700 might have a less certain outcome, while approval chances decrease further for scores below 650.
In summary, the FNBO Getaway Credit Card is a solid choice for those seeking a no-annual fee rewards card with generous benefits for travel, gas, and dining expenses. However, the lack of a new cardholder bonus may make it less appealing to those who want an upfront incentive.
If you prefer a card with a bonus offer, you may wish to explore other options available on the market. Keep in mind that personalized offers might vary, so it's worth checking if there are any special deals available to you based on your location or relationship with FNBO.
