Au Small Finance Bank Lit Credit Card Review
Friends, AU Small Finance Bank has recently launched a new
credit card called the LIT Credit Card, making it India's first customizable
credit card. Let's explore the benefits and drawbacks of this credit card in
detail to help you decide whether it's the right choice for you.
AU Small Finance Bank started offering credit cards to its
customers last year, and currently, more than 2,30,000 credit cards have been
issued across 200+ districts. Customers of AU Small Finance Bank will receive
the Zenith Credit Card. In addition to Dura 18 Plus and Vet Credit Card, the
bank has introduced the LIT Credit Card, also known as the Limit Broken Credit
Card, which offers customization options.
Unlike traditional credit cards tailored to specific needs
like travel or shopping, the LIT Credit Card allows users to customize their
benefits and turn them on or off based on their requirements. This means you
can enable features like more reward points for shopping and disable others as
needed. While most credit cards are offered with annual fees, the LIT Credit
Card is considered lifetime free. However, you need to pay for the features you
activate for three months. After that period, you can switch them on or off as
desired.
Let's delve into the rewards program of the LIT Credit Card.
Within a 30-day period, you can earn a maximum cashback of ₹500. Additionally,
you receive one reward point per ₹1000 spent, and if you use specific features
like the Five Accept Tax Reward, you get additional cashback on top of the base
reward system. For example, if you spend ₹10,000 in a month, you receive an
extra two percent cashback for those expenses, and this cashback can be availed
up to three times in 90 days.
The cashback is also categorized based on different spending
categories like grocery, dining, and travel, with no minimum spending
requirement. Additionally, you can get flat five per cent cashback on any
spending, but you need to select the corresponding feature and use it in that
specific category.
The LIT Credit Card offers free memberships for certain
services, like Amazon Prime, for three months. However, some customers have
reported that the free membership might not be entirely free, and there could
be additional costs. It's essential to clarify this aspect with the bank before
opting for the card.
Now, whether or not you should go for the LIT Credit Card
depends on your spending habits and specific needs. While it claims to be
lifetime free, you need to consider the three-month feature usage fees. If you
shop frequently, especially in substantial amounts, the card might be
beneficial due to the cashback offers. However, if you are looking for a
traditional credit card with no feature usage fees, there are other options
available in the market.
Ultimately, the LIT Credit Card could be a suitable choice
for those who want to customize their credit card benefits and are willing to
pay for specific features that align with their spending patterns and
preferences. Remember to carefully evaluate the features and decide if it
aligns with your needs before deciding.
