Axis Bank Magnus Credit Card Review (2022)
Axis Bank is making some good films in the credit card sector. In the entry-level segment, we have two great cashback credit cards at Flipkart Axis and Ace.
In the premium segment, we have Magnus and Reserve which offer some decent benefits. But both Magnus and Reserve didn't have the great rewards that the competition offers.
This has changed now. Axis Bank has recently added some benefits to Magnus which make it an attractive offering.
I recently got a Magnus credit card and have been using it for some time now. Here is my insightful review of the Axis Bank Magnus Credit Card.
Fees and Charges
Prize
- 12 Age Reward Points / Rs.200 - 1.2% Return
- 5X EDGE Reward on Travel Edge - 6% Return
- 25000 EDGE reward for spending Rs 1 lakh in a month - 5% return
- Each EDGE reward is worth 20 paise
There is a reward of 6.2 per cent for spending Rs 1 lakh in a month! This is great for heavy spenders and not many premium cards come close to it. TRAVEL EDGE is Axis Bank's version of HDFC Bank SmartBuy where we can book flights and hotels.
Main advantages
Any super premium credit card should offer lifestyle benefits to match the charges it charges. Axis Magnus is no different. It offers some great benefits which are suitable for frequent travellers.
Airport lounge access
Axis Magnus cardholders get unlimited international lounge visits with Priority Pass. We also get 8 complimentary visits for the guests.
But the catch is that there's no separate priority pass like the Infinia. Guest use is only valid if the primary card member is accompanied by them.
Unlimited domestic lounge access is also available. Access to this list of lounges is directly on the Axis Magnus credit card.
Airport Concierge Services
Axis Magnus also offers 8 complimentary VIP support services commonly known as 'Meet and Greet'. Services include assistance with airport procedures, such as check-in, security checks, immigration procedures and porter services.

Dining Delights
In this, we get a minimum 15% discount on dining in partner restaurants. Visit the official Axis Bank Dining Delights website for a list of restaurants and applicable offers.
Dineout Passport Membership
Get Dineout Passport membership benefits every year on payment of reception/annual fee.
My thoughts
Axis Magnus has been in the market for quite some time now. But, the recent changes made by Axis have made it an eligible card to apply for. The 6.2% return on expenditure of Rs 1 lakh is generous and the benefits accrued are also great. This is a super premium credit card worthy to try!
Also, we can earn instant EDGE rewards using GRAB DEAL and TRAVEL EDGE, which will bring the reward rate to at least 12% on spending Rs.1 Lakh.
Overall this is an amazing card that has a vertical, clutter-free design on the front and deserves rewards for its demanding price.
Final thoughts
The USP of the card is its airport meet and greet services which can save you a few hours, esp. In large airports, it is very beneficial if you do not fly business class.
In addition, unlimited domestic lounge access and the ability for guests to use international lounge access is a first of its kind in India with the Priority Pass. If you are a family traveller, you will love this benefit.
Overall this is a great effort by Axis Bank and I am sure the top customers of the Bank will be very happy with this offering.
But if you have other cards and are only looking at a higher reward rate, this may frustrate you, as Magnus is designed to only deliver more experience at a higher reward rate.
With the launch of Magnus Card, Axis Bank's portfolio has just strengthened and is well-positioned to compete with the top players in the industry.
